What’s in a name?

logoThe Supply Chain Network initially traded as PDG Supply Chain Solutions – linked here. This was to reflect the initials and relationship with the founder and owner, Paul de Guingand.

As time passed and the company and the engagements grew, the name became increasingly inappropriate. The Supply Chain Network was chosen as the new name, because it recognises that supply chains involve many parties contributing in different ways and times. More people were involved, and more expertise was contributed from many different people.

In the same way that Supply Chains are not just a series of links – but a web of suppliers and relationships with customers – so to The Supply Chain Network recognises that different experts will become engaged to support the delivery of the best outcomes. This is not one expert – it is a Network.
